The present study aims to explain the tactics of Takfiri terrorist groups in attacking urban areas in the urban war in Syria and Iraq and to provide a solution, followed by improving the level of tactics and the ability to control and direct forces by battlefield commanders. Initially, while consulting and seeking opinions from commanders and advisors present in Syria and studying relevant sources, the tactics of Takfiri terrorist groups were counted and irrelevant cases were eliminated using the Lawshe coefficient formula. The sample size of this study included 112 experts, commanders and trainers present in the Ghadir mission, Syria, which was done using the whole number method. To collect information, a library method with a "sheet" tool was used, as well as field and survey research methods. In the field section, a questionnaire (made by the researcher) was developed to answer the research questions and opinions were obtained from experts. After collecting the completed questionnaires, the researcher extracted their data and then analyzed them using SPSS software. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated by the software with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.932, which confirmed the reliability of the questions to an appropriate extent. Based on the results of data analysis, the deception operation has a significance level of 0.05, and the tactics of (involving the defending forces in several points and creating infiltration and penetration from vulnerable areas, using uniforms, military equipment and vehicles of the defending forces to pass through checkpoints, channeling (forcing) the defenders to leave the cities and creating an ambush against them outside the city) had the highest importance among the tactics with 2.75, 2.45, 2.43 and 2.37, respectively. Finally, solutions were presented to counter these tactics.
