This study examines the role of artificial intelligence in defense industries, military sciences and its operational, defense and security applications. Since the current era has led to a revolution in artificial intelligence after the agricultural, industrial, information and communication technology revolutions, addressing this issue in all sciences, especially military sciences, which have been and are the pioneers and promoters of other sciences, plays an important role. In particular, artificial intelligence is a complex and composite concept with the synergy of other sciences, which has highlighted its interdisciplinary role. The present study, using a qualitative method with a fundamental approach but observing the results, has examined its various areas by analyzing the descriptive content of the available sources in the field of theoretical applications of artificial intelligence in military sciences. Among them, the two technical and strategic parts are the most fundamental and practical areas. With the developments that took place in the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, the delay in addressing the deep scientific and applied layers of artificial intelligence in various fields is not only an obstacle to the progress and development in various aspects of science, including military science, but will also be an irreparable setback for any scientific field.
