تحلیل و ارزیابی تقویم اقلیم نظامی منطقه جنوب شرق کشوربه منظور برنامه ریزی فعالیت‌های نظامی

Weather is one of the most important geographic factors affecting defensive and military affairs. Moreover, one of the concerns of strategic commanders for long-term planning is to become aware of the military climate calendar of different regions.Sistan and Baluchestan province as the second largest province of the country is important in military planning due to being neighbor with Pakistan and Afghanistan and the coast of the Oman Sea, as well as special climate conditions such as 120-day winds of Sistan along with dust and low visibility, and also the effect of monsoon in summer. To evaluate and zone the climatic conditions of Khuzestan province, all of the synoptic stations in the region with respect to operations and military activities were studied. There were seven stations with a statistical period of over thirty- year's activities. Thus, they were selected and their climatic data related to the parameters such as, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, cloudiness, visibility, rain and snow were received daily and monthly from the Meteorological Organization.Then the thresholds for the climatic elements operations were determined and the probabilities of occurring parameters influencing military operations were calculated.After that, according to a survey of military elites, the importance of each of the climate parameters were determined, and an indicator as the military climate index was presented, and then the situations in the region in terms of the desirability of climatic conditions for various military operations throughout the year were studied.The results showed that the favorable climate of the military activities in the South East of the country in the warmer months of the year and summer are lower than the colder and cooler months so that the least favorable times for military operations in the region are summer months.
