Aboulghasem Ferdowsi, the great epic poet of Iran or even the World, created a masterpiece entitled Shahnameh. The composition of this work took about 30 years. It demonstrates the desires of the everlasting Iranian nation.
His Shahnameh, being an eternal epic, illustrates the championships, heroism, and the bravery of the Iranian nation in the history. Indeed, it mirrors liberty, frankness, nobleness and superiority of this nation. This epic is the manifestation of wisdom, knowledge, justice, manliness and notably theism in Iran.
The present paper attempts to reject some suspicions created by ignorant about this work and its title "Shahnameh". It proves that Ferdowsi attempted to illustrate the history of just rulers and especially oppressor kings to serve as examples for next generations. Ferdowsi as a Shiite Moslem believes that no one has the right to rule over other people except the one who is divine. Such ruler must have some extraordinary characteristics like theism, justice, wisdom, and notably divine magnificence. This paper concludes that in Ferdowsi's view the ruler must be divine or "velayatieh" not a dictatorship.
