Jungle area is one of the environments in which military forces may operate. In the equatorial parts of the globe, there are massive jungles known as rain forests; Plants and trees in this forest are so luxuriant that the sky cannot be seen easily. These kinds of forested areas are found on the borders of several countries. They are the battlefield of governmental and anti – governmental forces.
A military force must be familiar with natural and geographical characteristics of such jungles to overcome their difficulties and problems and to prevent their negative effects of jungles on operating forces include : 1- heavy rainfall 2- high humidity 3- movement 5- difficulties in supply 6- darkness of the jungle area.
This paper attempts to discuss some general attributes and difficulties of military activities in such environments.
