The development in the Information Age is so rapid that one may find it difficult to study its diverse aspects, although it is an indispensable task.
One of these aspects is warfare. The information warfare being the outcome of the emergence and dominance of information technology (I.T) has speedily spread to various areas. Besides, it has influenced the field of armed conflicts. On the other hand, the conventional warfare introduces new patterns of combat due to the alterations of power domain and technology.
Asymmetric warfare is such a matter that has been taken into consideration by powerful circles and activists in Politics and war, for it allows the weaker parts to impose their wills on the more powerful ones. Hence, examining the latest results of the information technology in connection with warfare and its effects on the current developments of the asymmetric warfare becomes a prominent issue. Of course, the interaction of these fields has been studied by scholars. The present paper, as a point of departure, discusses the interaction between information warfare and asymmetric warfare.
