This paper aims to demonstrate the importance of the experiences gained from previous battles and the military culture of different countries regarding their combats in future wars. Afterwards, it refers to the development of the concept of asymmetric. It also attempts to observe the attitudes of the West towards the asymmetric warfare and to indicate their dual policy on this concept. Moreover, the foundations of the model of Alavi Asymmetric Warfare are enumerated. Finally, some doctrinal characteristics of this model of warfare are presented.
