Training for acquiring knowledge causes to get familiar with the duties and responsibilities in the organization and prepare for conducting missions. Training operational commanders and staff members of the headquarters in land force of IRGC require the creation of knowledge, abilities and skills needed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of headquarters. To implement any training course, educational needs should be determined in accordance with the goals and missions of the organization. In this study, the training needs of commanders and their staff members have been investigated. The paper is a case study. The method of research was data collection through library research and study of documents as well as interviews and questionnaires with 47 closed questions. The statistical population were 100 persons that selected as sample. Research data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one variable t-test and spss software. The results indicated that the training needs of the students were 14 items with respect to training whereas they were 9 items in relation to the abilities and skills. They were recognized in order of priority.
