Valfajr 8 Operation or Fav conquest can be analyzed from various aspects and angles because it had great roles on political, economical and military aspects of holy defense changes national, political, regional ,and international equations. Since Fav was considered as one of the silent region of war, commanders of war decided to select this region. The reason was related to political, economical conditions of Iran at that time. This issue doubled the necessity of conducting an operation with strategic goals which was effective on the fate of the war. Fav operation (valfajr8) was the greatest operation (after Kheibar and Badr operations) planned and conducted by IRGC in second half of 1364 . Concerning the employment of careful executive tactics, this operation was particularly important. It should be noted that the planning of this operation and other similar operations ,performed in enemy’s territories, were not aimed at seizing Iraq but the main purpose is move the enemy to a point that he becomes repent of war now and in the future. In this research, I survey the available documents and different aspects this operation. Regarding the purpose, the research is applied. Concerning the level of analysis, it is descriptive and with respect to methodology, it is library research through note- taking and web-surfing.
